master of disguise

last night i made baked mac and cheese. i made it for the interns we are having over for dinner tonight.

here is the finished product:

yes i know... yummy.

anyway. i decided it was vital for me to take a bite of this thing because...
a. i need to make sure it tastes as good as it looks
b. it is mac and cheese. i cannot wait 20 hours just to have one measly bite!
b. i need to make sure it wasn't dangerous/poisonous? maybeeee a stretch.

so i did.

see?

but it's okay. because you know what you do? you stick a serving spoon on that side and pretend you weren't a fatty who couldn't wait to eat some grub had the patience to wait until the rest of the group. and voila! presentation saved. you never would have known.

feel free to try this with brownies, casseroles, and ALL thanksgiving sides.

I LOVE this recipe! I also always always always sneak bites from my casseroles--right in the side, too!!

BTW--I'm super jealous of your rainbow cake.
