SURPRISE!

my best friend is ENGAGED!

yayayayayayayyayayayayayyyyyyy!

can't wait for her to be married and living close to me and nesting and all the wonderful married things. but before that, i can't wait to plan her lingerie shower (which i've been planning pretty much since she threw mine).

anywhoooo, here's a few pics of it all goin down.

 okay pause. please don't make fun of my wind-swept, God awful bangs, it was way windy even though allizon's hair looks fab.

i'm not sure if allison/bill cares if i tell the story on here, so i'll wait on that.

what i CAN tell you is how i single-handedly ruined the moment. ready? ok!

we were driving "home" from lunch in tyler (Wasabi! HOLLA!) and i knew i was going to pull over to the field where bill was going to propose. He was proposing at the same place where i took pictures of them on their first week spent officially dating HERE. And i wanted to say something to point out the tree where bill was standing (it is a LONG ways away from the road... he looked like a little dot standing there).

and let me just pause to say that i was SO excited. i had butterflies in my stomach and my heart was RACING. i couldn't focus on anything allison was saying on the ride home, i completely tuned her out as she talked, because i was looking for the right field and being excited for what was about to happen. my heart was pounding and i was smiling and i was... distracted.

so as i am arriving, i mean to point at the tree and say "hey isn't that where i took pictures of you and bill?"

but instead, i completely interrupt her as she's talking, point to the tree where he is standing and say "hey, isn't that the tree where bill proposed to you?"

yeah, oops.

the best part is allison didn't catch it at first. she goes... "you mean where we took pictures? ....WAIT, WHAT?!?!"

and then she see's her other bff cristina by the side of the road to greet her and just gets so excited! she hugs her, begins to cry and then takes off RUNNING to bill down by the tree. precious.

and incase you are wondering, bill and allizon are not mad that i accidentally ruined the surprise. because one nano-second later, she would have seen bill and cristina and would have known anyway.

all that said, it was a beautiful day and she will be a beautiful bride!
